JD 5205 oil fill

Coming up on 100 hr service and I can't find where to add oil to the crank case. Had my local extension agent out the other day and he was a baffled as I am!
Manula says to add it, but doesn't say where.

My TN70A fills via the dipstick hole.

Hmmm, JD Parts Catalog online shows engine oil filler assembly, but doesn't show where it is on the engine. I'm assuming on the right side of the engine, that's where it is on my old 1530 Deere.

hillbilly,if it is similar to my jd 5203,and i believe that it is since they share the same engine,the oil fill is forward of the dipstick.you need to take the rt. side pop off green screen off,for lack of a better word.treat it like you are going to check the battery,its that pop off screen,take it off and look down it should be right there ahead of the dipstick.

Mystery solved! Thanks whitearrow. Who'd a guessed you needed to disassemble the beast to add oil!
