Got a quote for a JD 5103 w/fel for $17,500. Is this a good deal? Don't see any posts for the 5103.

My brother just bought one last summer. He got a set of remotes, telescoping draft links and loaded rear tires for 14,100 including setup, taxes, etc.
I drove it a few times and it is really nice. It sounds the way a real tractor should sound. Take one for a spin and you will know what I am talking about. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I ended up getting the 5103, with the 512 loader, extra remote, grill protector with 0% for 60 months for a total of $16,650.

Please keep us posted on how you like the 5103. It seems like a very affordable tractor given the amount of horsepower.

It would be helpful for all of us still trying to decide what tractor to purchase to see a couple more reviews on it's performance.

Congrats on your new purchase!

In March, I purchased as 2005 5203 with 512 FEL for $17,500. I bought it from Saginaw Implement, Rhome, TX (in case your dealer needs some reference information).

They are good Utility Tractors. Good Luck!

Tom
