Comparison JD 5101E vs NH TD5050

I am located in east Texas. Yea it is a hard choice on these tractors. Nh wins on those then jd wins on horse power and the power reverse..

how far east? i have a couple of TD5050, 4x4 cabs on the yard

tractor data is not correct. you can look on JD website and get the weight and then on NH. they are incorrect. i have also noticed other thigns on there with different models of all brands that are way wrong.

According to the JD website: 5101E is 7435#
According to the NH website: TD5050 is 8333#

I also noticed on the NH website that the TD5050 has dual hydraulic pumps. That's really nice. As is the "liftomatic" feature with a push button lift and lower.


5101E has economy mode PTO and significantly larger fuel tank. Big one for me is the wet clutch on the JD vs the dry on the NH.

Both have relatively the same power, limited slip mfwd, 12/12 with shuttle, etc. Very similar machines if equipped the same. I wonder what the cost difference is (for similarly equipped)? Seems like it would come down to personal preference, dealer, and which advantages best suit your needs. I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with either.
