When I bought my 5075E I had hoped the 61-62 rated PTO HP would be enough to spin a "1000 LB" round baler in my rolling field conditions. I felt a little better when I saw the "dyno" climb to 74-75 HP before I took delivery. I felt even better when I hooked to a new 459E and headed across the field. This is a low end model baler which makes a 48 X 60 bale, net or string. On dry fescue/legume hay, med to heavy windrows it makes a 900-1000lb bale. I ran the tractor in 4th (B1) 2450-2500 engine rpm the whole time, up hills and down. Very few issues, very few, but some. First one was operator error, the operator being me. I tried to start a new bale before the gate was completely closed. The second two where after dark and the dew had fell. I plugged the pickup twice more within 30 mintues. Admittingly also operator error, but I had 10 bales to go with rain coming. I felt the tractor and baler preformed well, 83 bales on 15 acres. The 5075E is 2013 2wd unit I bought new, now showing 115hrs. No cab, no loader. 600lbs of ballast on the front, fuild in the rears, weighting 7000lbs. The baler was a new 459E, net wrap model. Manual pickup adjust, no mega wide pickup, electric bale monitor, no baler density adjustment. I'd be happy to answer questions from all who are positive.

Very nice setup!! I want that 459E bad! I bought a 459 Standard last year, before anyone know about the E. I will be trading in August...

We baled 48 bales two weekends ago with my 459 Standard. It's a very good baler, almost foolproof!

You have a very good rig there! Will last many years.

Sounds like a great set up & hay field to boot.

You still liking that 459E? I am about to pull the trigger...

Yes, 100%. Consider getting the extra "gathering wheels" unless you can make tight windrows. If you get the net wrap model model buy several bottles of baby powder. It comes with one small one.

Did you get the bale ramps? Is the lack of bale shape indicators an issue? Thanks!

No, I didn't get the ramps. My ground is rolling so roll out was not an issue but roll back (toward the baler was). When the "buzzer" went off that bale was full and wrapping I got in the habit of pulling out of the windrow and driving a little circle to safely discharge the bale. I found myself doing this anyway to find a fairly level spot to discharge. I also found that I could drive the circle and discharge the bale without stopping. Once in a while when the spinning bale rolled out it would tear the net a little but never tore it off. I don't have a very good V-rake so my windows where wide and ragged which may have helped with the bale shape. In some places in the field the windrows where thin and I did drive "side to side" I do recall a couple odd bales but likely some damp hay in the windrow. You have blessed day brother.

Thanks man! We are very flat here, so I will opt for bale ramps. Also like the idea of gathering wheels. I use an old 5 wheel Tonutti 3-point rake, so my windrows are notoriously ragged, LOL! My new baker operator (my darling wife!) is very concerned about the lack of bale shape indicators... she is very adept at keeping the indicators level, and her bales always turn out perfectly square. I think she will be fine, but I am looking into the idea of adding the indicators. The parts should be compatable...

Why are you trading for 459E when you own the Standard already? Not questioning your intentions/wants/desire as I'm the last one to be doing that but just curious when you have "a very good baler" already. Are you trading or will you be selling your current baler?

Two words, LOL! NET WRAP! Would never have bought the Standard, if I had known the E was coming.
