I would try the easy thing first and reseat all of your relays in your fuse compartment. If that doesn't fix it, Fuse F10 supplies the power to the safety circuit. S06 is the gear shifter neutral switch which is in series in with S02, which is your PTO switch, which is then driving the coil of Relay K05 of the safety circuit.
This is great info! Thanks. I will try these things this evening. I've disconnected the positive terminal on the battery for 10 mins to reset everything and ensured the battery was fully charged but nothing changed. I've swapped some relays but no change so swapped them back. I have some new ones coming in today too. Any idea how to determine where K05 Relay is located on the tractor? Again, I know where several relays are but don't know how to identify which one is K05.

You need your own copy of this: It is the complete service manual for the Deere 5000 series tractors, made in India.

I had an issue like that on a ‘94 model, and I think the newer wiring harnesses are more prone to shorts. I would try an older wiring harness. I used Part number BDKID10T and it fixed the issue. Hope this helps!
Do you have pictures of that '94 model? What year was the older wiring harness? What was the year they changed from the older model 5045D to the newer 5045D model? A friend wants to know.

Problem resolved (and it’s somewhat embarrassing). First, I got the “Engine Air Restriction” light confused with the “PTO Engaged” light. Both yellow, located next to each other, and somewhat similar icon. Engine Air Restriction light illuminates whenever the key switch is in the start position (not run position). Therefore, I thought the PTO Engaged light was on and causing my problem. It was not. Second, I omhed the fuses with them installed (big mistake). F10, which is the Start Relay 10A fuse, will ohm out good when the key isn’t on. Pull the fuse and you can clearly see the fuse is bad. From a thread on this forum, I got to this YouTube video that says if your tractor will not start, check F10 Start Relay Fuse. If the fuse is blown (and keeps blowing whenever you turn the key on), unplug the Cold Start Temperature Sensor on the thermostat housing, replace the fuse and start the tractor. Problem solved.

RjCorazza, I agree with the “no coincidence’s” philosophy in this case but the sensor did go bad while starting it several times working on the tire. I truly appreciate your input and support.

Camofurever1, your diagram and picture of the tech support manual enabled me to find the manual online. With the manual, I was able to follow the proper diagnostic sequence to resolve the issue. Thank you so much!!

What an emotional rollercoaster. Sounds like the moral of the story is don't let the tire go flat....
