JD 455 injector pump problems

I recently picked up a 92 JD455 GT and it has a bad injector pump. I am trying to get it removed so I can have it rebuilt, but the fuel rack is stuck in place and I can't get the pump up through the top. Any thoughts on how to get it up and out without damaging it worse?

I am new to diesels but am pretty good at the rest.

Do you have the service tech manual to help in this endeavor?

I do have the service tech manual, but it does not give tips for moving the stuck fuel rack.

The manual is what helped me troubleshoot to this point. I just don't want to tear up any thing getting the pump out. I understand the ring gear to be in the way.

If it has an electric shut off solenoid on it that screws into the side., remove it and go thru the hole, to knock the rack into the slot in the engine block.
You might just have to angle it enough to get a screwdriver on the rack.. your options are limited.

So I got the pump out without too much beating on the slide. Now where can I send it to have it rebuilt? I am in Nashville TN, the local JD service center doesn't do it in house. They recommended some places, but thought I would check here first.
