I recently replaced the front pressue seal on the transmission pump. The input shaft is grooved (scored) from previous seals.
During this repair I removed the bushing, shaved .060 thousands of an inch and relocated the seal on the shaft.
Tractor ran but seems to be leaking again though not like before. Looses about 3 gallons of transmission fluid over 5 hours.
Going to disassemble again. Does anyone have any suggestions if the seal is again leaking? One idea may be to apply a redi-sleeve. All I know at this point is that it is leaking from the bottom of the bell housing area.
I appreciate any assistance or advise.
It is a nice 65 vintage.
