morning, hoping to get some help and advice.
I have a 4430 that I spoke with a couple folks on here that has helped me a lot, so I say thanks, still figuring out an issue with my shifting and I have been building a hydraulic pressure test kit.
just about have all the pieces for this 4430. but here is my question.
I recently acquired a Koyker 565 loader(bartered $0 invested), and I have been looking for a remote joystick and valve, looked thru the forums here and got some hints, went to surplus center and I can build my system for about $650.
short of the hoses and NOW for the big question.......... where do I "tap" into the hyd pressure and return for my valve?
I found a thing like this John Deere Tractor Tools - Macon Precision Machining LLC power beyond kits that mount behind the selective control valve.
any suggestions?

To access hyd's for joystick valve one has 2 choices. You can TEE into junction block(key 24A or 24B) on RH side middle of tractor for pressure & return oil to sump or ported hyd filter cover. When I had a JD 158 FEL on my JD 4255 I teed into junction block on RH side & returned oil to trans sump & loader operated just fine for handling rd bales. Another option is acquiring a PBY block you refereed to. I think you'll find a ported hyd filter cover with the correct length bolt won't be easy to locate/acquire

guys I fixed a few leaks and apparently made the durn tractor made, it seems to have changed symptoms.4430 hyd 1.jpg4430 hyd 4..jpg4430 hyd 6.jpg4430 leak.jpg4430 side.jpg
I was trying to attach my gauges and get a reading following the service manual. but of the 30 o-ring adapters I have I did not have a single 3/8 o-ring to fit in that block with the 2 hoses. according to my manual that is straight off the front hyd pump.

now you see the pic with the suction delivery pipe is off, I had a major hyd oil leak there and according to my service manual that supplies my trans pump.
I posted all these pictures for reference, 1 shows the make shift cup for the filter!, thats the things I am working with.

I did put a test gauge in SCV and max pressure I have is 1750, now I did not add a drop hose to the other side and route it into my hyd fill tube.
I cant give good test numbers yet until I get the correct 3/8x24 o-ring fitting.
my symptom is when I start the tractor my steering or brakes, very slow to respond and my steering goes away while driving it, I stop and rock the wheel it builds back, I will get the fittings and run the hyd test by the book and see where that goes,
I have noticed a leak in the pic of the clutch and pto, not sure where it is coming from, I also notice some oil on the floor between my feet, not a lot, but I pulled the panels and dash cowl there is a leak between the steering column and the bottom, Ill look up the parts and list them.
just an update............the one thing I dont have is ............ experience on a john deere 4430............. but I'm working on that
