Anyone have any sugestions or experiance with the PTO not working on these tractors? my tractoer is a 2004 year model thanks

Can you tell us a bit about what led up to the PTO not working?
And anything you have tried to get it to work?
Using the mid PTO? Been brush hogging?
Are you interested in running through some test procedures to trouble shoot the problem?
Are you interested in getting a copy (paper or CD) of the tech manual that has test procedures in it?

The 4410 and 4310 are virtually identical.

There are several options to check, read the above linked thread first.
With that said, I echo those in the other thread that said the PTO/clutch isn't a strong point on these tractors. We had a 4400 and at about 1700hrs the pto clutch blew. Not only would it not put full power to the PTO (or any at times), it would randomly start turning on it's own. Also whenever the PTO was running it was making a ratcheting sound. At that point we decided it was time to trade it in...
Hopefully your problem isn't as serious. The 4x10 series used a different method of engagement, so check all the electrical and hydraulic functions first.

a $20 Gauge and Fitting can test the switch and ensure the hydraulic fluid is being passed through.... If these are both working, you will have to pull the rear cover to check out what it going on.. You will have to drain a lot of fluid to do this...
