JD 4300 SyncReverser Problem

When I push the SyncReverser lever forward and leave the clutch out on my tractor it sometimes does not want to move. I have to tap the clutch one more time and it will grab and will then move the tractor forward. I have no problems when pulling the lever back and going in reverse. So, I would like to rule out the clutch being the problem.

Sounds like one of the solenoids needs to be adjusted. I think that you would be safe in rule out anything being wrong with a clutch pack.

Where are the solenoids that might need adjusting?

I am not sure on the JD without looking at one. They will more than likely be at the end of the shuttle lever.
