JD 425 BLOW BY

If necessary (and you don't want to remove the engine) just take off the hood and front headlight support frame, battery etc. to gain clear access.

WOE ! I must be interpreting the JD 425 Parts Catalog Cylinder Head and Crankcase Diagram incorrectly or something........ :reading: Looking at the CMT Diagram (Previous Post) I equated the Breather Gasket and Cover with Parts Catalog Key's #6 and #7 that appear to be towards the rear of the Cylinder Head. Again, looking at the CMT vs. Parts Catalog, Key's #3, #4 and #5 appear to be inside that cavity. Oil Filler Cap Key # 10 on the Left Side of engine...... my orientation seems to be correct but again perhaps not.............

Breather valve is under a cover plate beneath the flywheel. Items 3-8 in the Parts Catalogue illustration:

GOOD NEWS !!! Installed the Oil Filler Design Change Kit (Picture Attached) after Tune-up & degrease the engine with additional emphasis on the area behind the Flywheel (Thanks again Spanner) where the Breather Reed Valve is located (sight unseen), just enough room to get a good stream of hot water and cleaner in there. Tractor ran like a champ, operating temp steady, no creeping-up Dip Stick or oil flow issue thru new threaded Filler Cap with rubber gasket. MULTIPLES !!!!! :drink:
