Hello, Working on a JD 4210 with I think a 420 loader. The loader joy stick is very tight, it moves and works but feels like it needs to be greased. The loader itself has been greased etc , but the joy stick still feels very tight. I read some of the book and could not locate anything on lubricating the joy stick itself.
I tried wd40 behind the boot with no change. I did check the Hydro level in the transmission and it shows 1/2 way in the glass.
Does the deere have a seperate fill for the loader etc i may be missing?

Thank you!!!

no separate fill.

the joystick is linked to the control valves than run your loader. I'd guess the valves are sticky from not being used much. You will have to trace the linkage to the valves and lubricate everything with wd-40 or similar. Hopefully the valve won't have to be taken apart to clean the spools.

Hi ,this is fairly common if the unit sits for a long time before the linkage gets broke in. most likely the linkage is tight/ seized. spools are most likely fine. remove the boot and try to spray lube up under the base of the scv lever , bend the spray tube as needed or try from underneth the tractor. then work the lever front to back and left to right, respray and repeat till scv lever frees up. or remove the seat , close out panals, maybe the fender , disasemble the linkage and free up on the bench.
