Hi,
I'm in Australia & I am having trouble with the JD 410 backhoe/loader.
There is no pressure in the new pump I installed. I have been told that the
valves in the fluid line, could be the problem.
How many valves are there ? I have found 4 so far. I mean in the main line?

What did you do to prime it?

Hello, thanks for replying. In answer to your question - Nothing, I just started the backhoe,
once you start it, it is already primed.

Welcome to TBN
May I ask what type of hyd diagnostics were performed before R&R of hyd pump? Which hyd pump was replaced(charge or main)? How long since hyd oil sump screen has been checked/cleaned? Many hyd pumps have been replaced to only determine that the replaced pump was no faulty & I hope that doesn't apply to your TLB.

Thanks Tim,
I will reply to your questions in order.
1. None
2. Main Pump.
3.There is no sump in this model, there is 2 oil filters that I change every 50 hours.

I'm not attempting to hurt your feelings but R&R frt hyd pump without performing extensive diagnostics is a waste of time & $$$$$ on any hyd system. There are many reasons besides faulty frt hyd pump that can cause closed center hyd's not to operate correctly. Something as simple as a ""stuck open filter relief valve"" can cause frt pump not to have a supply of oil that it can pump or a relief valve opening prematurely @ lower than stand-by pressure(2755 psi). Frt hyd pump must be supplied with oil via a charge pump because frt pump has no capability to suck oil.

I also disagree with your statement that your tractor has no sump as the sump is the reservoir that contains the hyd oil. I suppose the definition for sump is different "down under" than the USA.

You're welcome
I would suggest to temporarily remove or consider replacing the air filter(key 7) if you haven't already performed this task or try to operate with hyd oil reservoir dipstick temporarily removed. If hyd screen(key 70) has not been checked/cleaned I highly advise to perform this task before proceeding any further.
