Did some searching on the web this morning and haven't had any luck finding what I'm looking for, so I thought I'd post my question here to see if anyone here can help me out.
Saturday my dad was mowing weeds with his 1973 JD 4030 and his rotary mower when the fan belt broke. He has not owned this tractor (or any tractor really) for long, so we are both relatively inexperienced working on them. Assuming we go to the dealer and get the right replacement belt, is putting the new belt on something doable for a couple inexperienced (though reasonably intelligent) guys? Or should we just call the dealer and have them send someone out to knock it out?
