JD 403 shredder and 3 point issue

I just bought a Hinomoto E230, with a JD 403 Shredder.

There appears to be too much swing, so that when the tractor turns, the 3 point lift arms rub and try to ride up the tire treads.

How would I tighten that up?

It also happens when the mower is lifted to use the rear wheel as support.

You should have anti-sway chains on the two lower links. Normally, these are turnbuckles.
You can make you initial adjustment when the cutter (aka "shredder") is on the ground, but you'll want to raise it off the ground for final tightening.

But I think you mean the tail wheel doesn't come off the ground when you lift the 3PH. If so, shorten the tractor's upper link. Do this on the ground as the weight of the cutter will make it quite difficult if it's off the ground. You'll want to shorten that upper link so you can raise the cutter enough for your final adjustment of the anti-sway links.

Roy, thanks for the info! The cutter actually will come up off the ground fully. What I meant was the cutter's bottom edges were off the ground and the trailing wheel on the ground.
