Just traded my JD4410 in for a JD4120 and am looking for ideas on where others are chaining down their tractors that have loaders insalled for trailering. I was looking things over and was thinking of fabricating a d-ring to a plate that I could bolt to the front bumper. Anyone out there run into this issue and devise a solution. I normally devise a configuration that I can reach from the ground (deckover trailer) and uses four seperate chains and binders.

On my 3520 with 300CX loader I run the chain through the hollow crossmember between the 2 loader arms. Works well for me and should be an option for you as well.

Be on the lookout for the canvas/nylon strap deals that the car rental places have, also used for new vehicle shipping. These are the safest because you restrain the wheels/axles. The loader frame is strong, but generally not good in a shear mode (as in a collision with sudden jerk loads). The wheel/axle restraints allow a little give and take which is better for the ride and makes the loads on the trailer attachments lower.

Around here, you can find them falling off new car haulers. Its basically a mesh basket.
