JD 3520 mid PTO option and 62D compatible?

Howdy-
My first post. Looking at a used 3520 and wondering if the mid PTO option can be installed as an upgrade or does it have to be installed as a factory option?

JD wesbite says it's a $400 option, but does not indicate if it can be added at a later date.

Also, wondering if the 62D mid mower can be used on the 3250.

The mid-PTO can indeed be field installed, about a 3-4 hour job or so...not sure about the 62D...you will have to go to the "build your own" section on the JD site and see what it allows you to add.

Quick question why a 62D?

Main reason is that there is one local here on Craigslist new on a pallet for $1700! I took th eadvice of the fellow above and went through the JD configurator and the 62D does not appear to be an option for the 3520.

There's also a Loftness 7' flail mower listed fo $895, which looks like it might be a good option too.

Remember that you'll need the 3x20-series mounting frame for the 62D as well, I doubt the 2x20 series would be a good match.

i was gonna be quite surprised if the 62D would be compatible with the 3x30 series.
I would say it is, depending on the condition, a $5k mower for $.9k - Sweet!
