Newbie here looking to buy! JD and Kubota are my local dealers. Trying to decide btwn which model. Was leaning torwards the L2800 until I saw and drove the 3203. L2800 is less expensive and has smaller loader but the layout seems nicer and the dealer is really close. Useage: front end work manure composting, small cover crop, post holes for fencing and pulling out dead fall trees.

Appreciate the feedback.
Thank you!

I am a JD fan, and own and have owned much of their equipment, but I am not a fan of the 3203. To me, if you are looking green, price the 3120 instead. Has many more features for a similar price. It is a nicer machine than either that you mention, but if these choices are the two you are comparing, go Kubota in this instance.

I'm sorry. I forgot I was not supposed to use "nicer" in context here. I mean to say the 3120 has "more features" than do the two you mention. Nicer, of course, is personal preference.

According to my dealer, the 3203 is JD's answer to the L2800 / 3400 Kubotas. I drove one, but moved on after finding out that for whatever reason, a backhoe option is not available. I ended up going with the 3320 instead. I agree with jcmseven - If you decide to go green, look at the 3120 over the 3203. The 3120, 3320, etc. have the 3 range e-hydro with "loadmatch", while I believe the 3203 has a regular 2-range hydro. I don't know about the rest of the folks here, but I was really impressed with the loadmatch system.
