JD 320 valve cover

I recently purchased a 320 and both valve covers are leaking, I got new gaskets for it but just wondering if there is a something to watch for when replacing them that could help to insure a good seal.

Not really. Just clean things up and put the o rings on. Usually tighten in an x pattern being careful with those covers not to overtighten.

thanks for the replies, I do need to get manuals for it. I also believe while I have the covers off I will adjust the valves and replace the valve seals.
