JD 3032E Exhaust Fumes

Just bought a JD3032E & love it except for the fumes. Has anyone seen one modded w/vertical exhaust? Is it any better?

This is my 1st tractor.

I thought they make a vertical exhaust for it but i could be wrong.I love my 3032e too only complaint about the exhaust is when it dry out and doing some work in woods and at full throttle it will kickup the sandy soil we have .

Any time the exhaust is vertical vs. horizontal there it eliminates your fume problem.
I prefer vertical on trucks and tractors for this reason.

Someone on this site will have the steps to retrofit and go vertical.

I have a 3038E and wondering the same. Deere website shows kits for the 20 series tractors. Maybe someone will know if the you can adapt the kit for the 20 series that uses the same engine for use with 3032E and/or 3038E ?

I might ask my dealer tomorrow.

I asked my dealer also. They just said they had tought to have seen an aftermarket set-up somewhere.

Looks like it would be pretty easy to do except for cutting the hood. Maybe it could come out under the side of the hood somehow.

I'll take some pics of under the hood of my 3520 to compare under your hood. I have the john deere verical exhaust kit on my tractor

I haven't seen a vertical exhaust for the 3032 either...but if you do try a modification, I suggest you run the exhaust out the side rather then through the hood, if at all possible.
At least you won't have to remove the pipe to open the hood...
As far as parts...you might look at the exhaust pipe for the 790 as something that may work with appropriate modification.

Our little Ford had a forward facing exhaust and looked a little lawn mowerish so I made a verticle stack out of some old pipe

looks more like a tractor now and no fumes
