Just bought a used 2017 JD 3025E with a front end loader. Before I made the purchase I noted that the 3 point hitch arms went up and down. I asked the dealer if there were any problems with the machine and he replied in the negative. Now that I have the machine and home and going over it more closely, I have discovered that the 3 point hitch arms are either completely up or completely down. They will not stay up at any point in between. If you pull the lever to raise the arms, the arms will rise to very top and the bypass value will engage. So I pull the lever back enough so the bypass will stop.
So my first job was to make sure that the there was nothing hanging up on the outside that would prevent their proper operation. I lubricated both the shaft for the lever(#19 on diagram) which raises/lowers the 3 point hitch arms and the shaft for the position feed back arm(#27 on diagram). Both the lever and position feed back arms/shafts are working as they should, at least, on the outside. However the 3 point hitch arms still will not stay in any position other than completely down or up. So something not working on the inside. I assume the shafts are not engaging with the HYDR./PILOT Control Valve(#25) inside. Or the shaft for the position feed back arm is bad/broken???
Thoughts? Thanks in advance for your time and wisdom!!!
