When I turned the steering wheel it would turn all the way without touching the wheel. Same in both directions. Suspect seals leaked in valve so I ordered a new power steering valve. It said it was for a JD 2955 but it had SAE threads not metric. So I had new fittings installed on hoses. Installed. Now it only turns when I turn it as it should. But I noticed that the pump hose pulsates a lot when I'm going straight and only stops when I turn the wheel fully to the right and left. Also don't have any Hyd pressure at the rear of the tractor to the chopper unless I turn the wheel fully to the right or left

I wonder what the following declaimer in parts description means?
(FOR SAFETY REASONS ORDER STEERING VALVE NAMED ON TYPE PLATE)
Hyd symptoms sounds as if new control valve is for open center not closed center hyd system. If you can determine which hose is the return hose then disconnect it & when not turning steering wheel no oil should exit open return hose when engine is running.
