John Deere 2305 (2010)
Rookie mistake.

I bought a used Kubota tiller, tried it on a garden and was perfect. I then put my iHitch on that added 4-5 inches. Next time I used it- the PTO shaft broke into pieces. This was due to the extra extension from the iHitch
Recommendation : look up on uTube how to adjust properly. ( to long will damage your tractor PTO) to short makes a mess of things. Also add a slip clutch to you rear PTO so if you hit something it will hopefully save the tractor.
Regards, Bill

Bill,

Yeah, it's a really good thing you went up to the iHitch and not down from it. A long PTO shaft apparently will nearly total out a 2305. Buying a new PTO shaft is a cheap lesson!

Agreed. My greatest hope after this- educate anyone reading on the importance of how to adjust this PTO shaft. There is a good video on uTube but I'm sure the info is everywhere on the net. Everyone says the same, if you have to raise the implement above level to get the PTO on- its to long and will be an expensive road. Bill
