I have a JD 2305 with about 40 hours and I noticed a small transmission fluid leak. It's coming from the square head plug near the back of the filter on the rear axle. This is not the Hex head drain plug. Has anyone else had this problem? What is this plug for, is this just a plugged off port or another drain plug? Thanks

I haven't experienced any such leak on mine after ~70 hrs, or so. If the bolt is on the axel, I doubt it's an extra port. Maybe a seal is leaking? How bad is it? If you can keep on top of it for now, you can schedule your dealer to come out and fix it. They should have a mobile service truck, and it should still be under warranty with only 40 hours. Good luck with it!
