According to the manual the headlights and taillights are on fuse B 20 amp and the work light is fuse D 10 amp. 3 amp draw should be ok.

So if fuse D is blown, he probably has a short (at a the connection?) that needs to be found and corrected before replacing fuse. If it's not blown, he needs to find where he has open circuit (disconnect). Likely at the new connection, OP should check for 12VDC and inspect connection there.

Just got home and looked at tractor. The Fuse was blown. I looked at my connection to the rear pigtail, and it is wrapped well in electrical tape. Should I just take the tape off and re-wrap it? Not sure where else it could have shorted out from, but I will try and follow some wires.

I have had fuses blow and when i replaced them they never blew again. Why, who knows, probably a bad fuse. I would just replace the fuse and if it blows again then worry about why.

If you change the fuse and it blows again I would look at the lights themselves. They may have been made across the pond and we all know what evil lurks when you have to deal with that stuff...

I am getting a fuse this afternoon, but of course the weather warmed up a bit so no new snow. I will report back after I get a chance to use the lights for an extended time. Thanks for all the help!

For the cost of a fuse kit at Wal-Mart, it might be worth buying a kit, and keep it handy for future use.

I have an update. I took the lights down and tested one at a time. It appeared one was causing the fuse to blow so I ordered a replacement and sent the bad one back. The replacement came in over the weekend and I got it installed. I plowed yesterday with the lights on and had no issues. The one light was the issue. Thanks for everyones help!
