JD 2210 owners weigh in

Got a chance to buy a 05 - 06 JD 2210 4x4 for 12 gees with 100 hrs. Includes -60" belly mower
-Quick attach front loader w/ 5' bucket
-Post hole auger w/ 12" bit
-60" rock/landscape rake
-48" roto-tiller
-48" Farmall bush hog
-Quick Hitch
Price seems good but I've noticed a lot of these for sale with low hours. Do they have a problem. I've read of transfer case problems, pto problems, brake problems. My main use right now is Bush hog - Post hole - FEL work.

I have an 03 that I boulght new in Nov 03. It has 420hrs now and other than a snowblower vibration that I finally fixed last year it has been trouble free.

I have a fel 49", 62"mmm a 47" front snowblower, 48" box blade and a 60" strait blade. And a heated cab for the winter that I would never give up.

2210 is the predecessor to the 2305 - they are vitually the same rig with a different (updated) look to the 2305.

I don't know of any outstanding issues that are "nagging" with either the 2210 or the 2305 - they are great little subCUT's and will serve you well. I've not read of transfer case problems, or brake problems. The only PTO problems I've read about have been, seemingly, self inflicted.

Now just have to figure which way to go. A JD 790 w/Loader. The 2210 with the equipment listed above. A Case 245 w/loader and hoe. And a Kubota 2200 with a bunch of equipment just jumped into the mix. Pricing from $9000 to $13000.

if you were to buy it all brand new that set up would set you back around $16, the tractor is just getting broke in so as long as every thing is in good shape I'd say it's a good deal.

I've owned a 2305 for a year or so and it hasn't let me down yet. I'm very impressed with what the little guy can do. I run a 4' woods bushhog behind it with no problems. We used it last winter to drag firewood out of the woods. It's easier to get around in tight places than the larger tractors. It seems to get more use than the larger tractors because it's just so darn handy.

I have a 790 with 70 hours on it and yesterday I graded about 5 miles of roads and a driveway with a 5ft box blade on about a gallon of diesel. For ground engaging work this thing is difficult to beat. When I'm using the loader a lot I wish for a hydro but otherwise I couldn't be happier with the tractor. Its a significantly larger framed tractor than a 2210 but is a non-syncronized gear tractor.

I bought a '05 2210 w/ 100 hours, FEL, 54" MMM, & Balest Box for 10k in June. I would think with all of the implements you are getting it is a good deal.
