My JD 2210 compact utility tractor will not start? When I turn the key with the shifter in neutral the dash lights come on and I hear a single click. The starter does not engage. I have had the battery and starter tested off the tractor. I have also tried all the Operator Manual safety switch tests. Is there a way to jumper around the 3 safety switches one at a time to isolate the bad system.

These were KNOWN for junk batteries. I had mine tested, and they said it was fine. I threw it out and replaced it anyway, and bingo, the tractor started as usual.

Yep, my 2305's battery passed a load test three times after charging but it wouldn't start with out a jump from my truck. I replaced the battery anyway and it started right up.

+ 1 for trying it with a jump start. I know you've tested the battery, but switches are not the problems we run into on this model.

Mine wouldn't start and I found out the battery terminals were corroded. If a jump start or swapping a battery doesn't start your machine, you're outside the norm.

Good luck.
