I have a 70's 2030, currently my loader is running off of my rear remotes.
I would like to move the connection so I can use other implements, can anyone tell me where to tap the pressure and return lines??
Maybe a picture or two??

For pressure, on the right side, about even with the brake pedals is a flow control/priority valve from the rear it should be the line to your SCVs. You can tee in right at the flow control/priority valve for pressure. You will see a steel line going forward to the front engine mounted pump.

For return, you need a ported transmission oil filter cover. This is the round cast iron cover for the transmission filter. John Deere sells one with a boss that is tapped for a fitting. This returns your oil to the trans via the filter.

All the open center valves should be in series, with PB outlets, except the last valve. You can not tee into a pressure line, unless you have a way to shut off flow downstream. You can tee into the hyd flow if you know what you are doing with shut off valves. Otherwise shut off flow to one circuit, so flow will go in one direction, or use a splitter with equal outputs, or a priority flow control valve/circuit.

The tractor in question has a closed center system. A tee placed anywhere downstream from the priority valve will work just fine.

Did not know that, thanks.

Hi I am glad to read these post because I am doing the exact thing mentioned-well trying... A year ago I PAID someone to come out and tell me what I needed to add remotes to run a little backhoe I got and he (working for the local JD dealer) ordered them up. I put off the job being afraid of getting the tractor torn apart and not getting it back together. So I finally dove in yesterday. Well, so far out of 2 hoses, 2 t's, and 2 ends that I got per his recommendation, he has gotten ONE END right, GRRR. I Paid him a lot to come out, and a lot for the parts. I am going to be seeing him on Tuesday...

Anyway, what I have learned so far is that there is no room for a T to turn at the end (rear side) of that priority valve unless it has a swivel nut on it ( on the male side- I am not sure if they make them that way). Taking off that hose is a peachy job too since on my tractor the swivel is buried on the other end up on the control box where you need to give the tractor a complete lobotomy to get to it. Hint: use 2 people and have one with the wrench down below and one above forcing the hose to turn in the upper swivel- we did get it off that way.

Also I think that you can use a second T on that other line with the filter housing instead of buying the JD part- I believe it is a 3/4" line- mine was.

Jpep did you get it done?

No I have not.
After speaking to the few Tri Green dealers around here and a few friends...
It would not be as hard as it seems.
I will have to get a flexible line to replace the pressure side tubing that goes to the bottom of my rear service control, add a Tee and a quick disc. not so bad but I've been told that fittings are hard to find. On the return side, that's an easy one...just tee in + disc. where the line comes back to the filter housing.
When I accomplish this task I will post pictures of the steps..
