JD 1217 Haybine-oil in gearboxes

I just acquired and rebuilt most of an old JD 1217 haybine. It's running great, but I figured now would be a good time to check oil levels in the gearboxes. I've got no manual for it, and the decals are sketchy on lubricating details. Anyone got the scoop on levels and oil type for the gearboxes on this mower/conditioner?

Welcome to TBN. Lot's of good folk's here and even some good advice... ain't got any good coffee, though.

You might have better luck gettin' info by posting your question on the Ag forum.

And rummagin' around on eBay for a manual. Deere might be able (and likely willin') to sell you a copy, too.
