This is my first and only attempt to utilize 3 point on the 110 tlb. Loader was never off machine prior 620 hours. I am trying to set up 3 point to run snow blower since the white stuff is bound to come sooner or later. I purchased used 3 point class 1 top link ,draw bars, and adjusters was supposed to have been from 4500 series jd green. After trying to raise rock shaft lift had little to no response then went to full up with alot of destruction. Will not lower and snapped left adjuster arm in half. Attempted to adjust speed control but still unsure why arms will not lower. And this is same machine I allready had fwd / rev potentiometer failure.:confused2:

I didn't realize that a 110 had that much lifting power to snap a adjuster arm in half. Sorry I can't help with your 110. Maybe another TBN member can help. I will be watching this post.

Pictures of what the broken adjuster arm? I have pictures of the arms off of the machine not on and I can take pics of the broken one I can send you the whole arm if you want it free. LOL I looked at another 110 tlb which belongs to a local landscape supply co. And he also went to a Green dealer for his 3 point arms. They are several years old and look heavier than the arms I purchased from Wengers. I am going to try a different Green dealer my local Heavy duty JD Yellow is not interested in helping much. I am really still stuck with the question of raise and lower speed and response. After turning the adjuster under the seat to faster and slower seems to be no difference and once it was going up there was no stopping or release to go back down.

The 110 that I have access to usually has the 3pt arms on and from what I can tell raise speed basically depends upon engine speed (higher rpm, more hydraulic gpm, faster speed), only lower speed is controlled by the knob. to stop the arms from raising (once started) I just have to push the level to a lower position than the arms are currently at.

Ok I have to try this with nothing hooked up and no attachment and see if it is going to go down without weight and try to raise without weight just to verify operation. It should raise and then release and I should be able to lower with minimal weight or the polish method stand on the arms. I have changed the filters and fluid within the last 10 hours and have run the loader and backhoe without issue. So I am still not sure if this is a stuck hyd.valve or air lock issue.

I am not quite sure what you meant by "it should raise and release". without being near the 110, there are numbers beside the 3pt lever. 0 or 1 to 6, I believe. The numbers do not mean anything specific, just reference points if you want to be able to return something (an attachment) to the same height. if I recall correctly, 0 is bottom, and 6 up to max. so if you move level to #4 position, it will keep applying hydraulic force until it is at the height that would correspond with #4 (assuming all is working correctly) so you may want to try #1 first. if you then want to lower it move lever to a lower #. you will likely have to stand on the arms, and may have to change know setting to increase lower speed, if no weight is on it. maybe someone else can chime in.

Is not uncommon for many tlb machines to not get much 3 point usage if any at all. It is possible that you have something going on related to the rockshaft valve itself (inside the rockshaft housing). A tech manual might be a worthwhile investment, you can download one at John Deere Bookstore, the download version is less than a printed one but still around $200. But you can burn up $200 at virtually any repair shop regardless of color in a heartbeat. 4500 3point linkage would be appropriate for this machine. Don't forget about making sure the backhoe presence switch circuit is not causing problems if not already mentioned. Good luck

Thanks, I Bought the manual several months ago due to other issues with the yellow nightmare. It would not move fwd /rev everyone said it had to be fluid issue filters etc. Then someone on another site mentioned they had same issue and it was the potentiometers. Called my local Green guys in upstate NY. who by the way are a big help over the yellow guys. They sent a service tech to my camp which is were this thing stays in a heated garage. My 2015 truck don't stay in a heated garage. I went to another green dealer today and started to replace the broken parts the next step will be to stand on the arms to lower and start over. The manual says to do a weight box test. Not to help full with 3 point issues.
