JD 1025 transmission question/problem

I have a JD 1025 with approximately 25 hours on it. I noticed when I was installing mower deck yesterday, that the tractor move forward with transmission engaged in either low or high range-- before forward pedal was engaged. Also have difficulty in shifting/ transmission out of high or low speed ranges with the engine running. Have called the dealer already-just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems.

As far as shifting goes try moving forward and backward very slowly while shifting as that should help , I have to do that when I go from 4wd to 2wd or vice versa . As far as going forward when not supposed to that should just be an adjusment the dealer can help you with .

There is a pedal position adjustment under the cover below the seat (red circle). I don't have the instructions for the adjustment but they are on the net if you look. The tractor does not have to come apart like this to make the adjustment , I was installing the independent lift.

The dealer should make the adjustment on warranty with those few hours.

Mine won't shift on the fly from L to H like the 4010 used to. Have to be totally stopped.

Shifting from 2wd to 4wd and back is so much easier on the 1025 than it ever was on 4010.
