Never seen one of those but the logging industry has something like it. Theirs is on a very large tracked machine. they just drive up to a tree and clamp onto it about 30 feet up then a saw comes out at stump height and cuts it, then it just picks the tree up and puts it in a pile to wait for the skidder to come and haul it away. Do look like it would be very useful. I think that it would make you a nice xmas gift.
 
There is another company that makes a version of ther same thing but thay laso make shears to. I cant think of the name either. I wonder if that set of jaws has an accumulator like a skidder grapple to hold pressure on the tongs while its in transport holding something.
