I have, as you might have guessed a Japanese tractor.... But I dont speak or write Japanese...

But there are now 'apps' for your mobile phone (iphone android etc) that can translate from drawn charachters. Its not easy - it takes a while to get them right, but with a little patience, it is possible

If we all had a go - and made this a 'sticky' thread, then we could all benefit from translations on our tractors - how do the Mods feel?

My first one:-

Lever under a seat on a F series tractor:-
Direct translation of each character
{Enter}
Control
Pressure
Outside
Section
{Cut Off}

Pic of label below.

Suggested actual meaning - This lever controls the pressure to the external hydraulic ports on the valve block that it connects to.

I PM'd the mods about a month ago with a request and I know one other member did (same request) as well...

We weren't important enough to ever recieve a response. Good luck with that one.

I'd sure like to see this happen.

Instead of translating the literal Japanese label, it might be more useful to describe the control's function based on the comparable labels on American tractors. This could be based on observation rather than language translation.

This lever controls the pressure to the external hydraulic ports on the valve block that it connects to
might be simpler to understand as:
'Rear Remote Up ^ Down v '
for example.

Not that I want the 'translation' thread to become a discussion thread - but no - its not up and down, more on and off.. And there isnt a comparable lever on every tractor.... and if we start at the literal translation, then theres little or no argument. Just an idea.
