Over the past three or four years I have been invaded by Japanese Stalk Grass. it is quickly becoming the dominant plant in the yard, fields, and even forest. is there something that will kill it somewhat selectively. I don't want to go to a total burn-down herbicide but would really like to attack it. Don't mind killing a few other weeds in the process but would hate to start over with the whole yard.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Because this is an annual, good control can be had by not letting it go to seed every year. The NC State university suggest a way to kill with glyphosate without doing major damage to desirable plants. Japanese Grass

Easy to pull but also easy to kill with a very weak solution of glyphosate or Roundup. Then reseed with grass you want 10 days to 2 weeks later (in growing season).
