It is a white light setup right now, and shockingly effective (reminds me of hearing about guys "spotlighting" deer...

If I don't see the fox soon, he may loan me a full night vision setup he has...

In the army I was fully qualified with the M-16 (and a variety of other weapons) day and night...

This baby is sweet and it shoots like a dream.

I just wish I could get a shot at some of these foxes...

Sounds like you are pretty well fixed up with the AR-15.

Hey my canopy arrived this evening, the sales guy brought it, and He and I and his wife put it on... It was a pain to get on, It is steel and kinda heavy, but it is on and it looks good, I would have taken pix but it was too dark by the time we got done. I went a played a little in the gravel pile after we got done, This Kioti is a really cool tractor, I can do so much in 2WD, it is so much heavier (1066 lbs) than the Kubota I traded in, and the tires are bigger, (and hold more fluid:thumbsup so I have a lot more traction, and 4WD just powers thru the pile. The torque is so much better than the 2 horsepower would indicate. I am really pleased with this thing. My only regret is why did I not find one of these 2 years ago. It was only a few hundred more than the Kubota, and it is a whole size bigger, and in a much different higher class of features and trim.
We will see how it holds up long term, and I never had anything break on my 2 Kubota's but the first few days, of use, I am liking this thing.

I NEED to see your canopy. Mine is steel frame and plastic.

I always use 2wd. I only use 4wd when a wheel slips... it feels a bit like a tank (I used to have a tracked vehicle lic in the Army for M113 and M557 APC's.so it is not exactly like a tank ).

One thing to consider if you decide to use the AR? With a 1 in 7 barrel twist, that projectile will travel quite a distance if erratic shooting takes place. Even a marksman is subject to making mistakes. Just a thought?

I'm pretty safe Creek.

I'm always careful about where my bullets go and I only kill what I wish to kill.

I'm not offended though. Safety, especially with weapons, is always important.

David that fox seems to be gettin pretty brash got a feeling your about to get-em.

I am so mad...

Last night my buddy and I were armed and working in the yard all afternoon and after we put the birds in the barn for hte night we sighted in and warmed up a bit, then we set up a looping dying cottontail call, and we divided the treeline (he got the East and I got the West. we sat there listening to that awful screetching for hours, until we flat out could not see without a flashlight. Nothing...

Then today, while I'm at WORK at 10:30 am this HUGE bright red and very pretty fox saunters DOWN MY DRIVEWAY!!!!

Nan hollers and get the girls, the guineas see him and squack and the fox gets away! I gotta teach that girl to shoot!

I am SOOOOO STEAMED at that fox....

Moss, get them a couple of 10/22's. Send the trigger groups to me and I will take the crappy factory pull from 6+ lbs down to 3lbs for ya and I'll send them back FOC. Then get a decent scope on them and a few bricks of ammo and let them learn how to shoot.

He kept trying to attack my baby girl and my wife, and he attacked and bloodied one of our layers (I think it is the last leghorn we have left ).

That was the last straw in my book. He is now coyote bait in the freezer...

I think it was about a month ago...
