Nope. They just eat until the grass is shorter than the grass in the yard and they dont even make a muddy mess of the whole pasture like the horses seem to do.

I don't really trust their autopilot out at the street.:laughing: But if you check the pen inside the fence, minus the thistle, you will see they do a pretty good job.

The area on the left is open to the drive and doesnt get animals. The area on the right has never seen a mower other than the livestock.

It has been an extremely pleasant summer here on the southern shore of Lake Superior - highs in the high 70's or low 80's during the day with low humidity, and cooling off at night in the low, to mid 60's.

It has really been the perfect summer thus far with rain periodically to keep the grass lush and green and the new trees that I planted taking root and growing. I couldn't possibly have asked for better weather

I know, I know. High summer is history I'm thinking. Same thing going on here since a big Canadian high moved in. I'll take Canadian air any day over that sticky stuff from the south west. Thank you for sharing. :thumbsup:

The weather guy said very little heat index. What the thermometer says is what we get due to low humidity. Evidently the weatherman wasn't anywhere around me yesterday when I was outside. I can assure you that my t-shirt was very highly humid.
