Well, I am now the proud owner of a DK45S! Thanks to everyone for all your responses to my questions...I'm sure I will have more as this is my first tractor. Now I just have to wait three days for delivery. Looks like I may not hunt all day Saturday on the opening day of the season!

Congrats and Welcome to the Pack! It's tough not heading out on opening day for that first early morning hunt but not nearly as tough as that tractor.

I just noticed you are over in Maine. What dealer are you going through? My dealer is Batchelder's in Lebanon, ME and they have been great.

I bought it through Whitemore and Sons in Skowhegan. They were great and very close (~7 miles).

Take the time while waiting on delivery to read the owners manual cover to cover. Do the proper break-in. Keep tract of all/any service on the tractor.
I have a used (second owner) DK45, 2003, or 2004. I added a brush guard to mine first think.

yeah...I have started to read it...The manual is very entertaining. I hope the quality of the translation from Korean to English is not representative of the quality of the machine. I will set up a tracking sheet for all maintenance. The tractor comes with a brush guard but I may adapt the safety screen from my old pickup headache rack to provide more protection.

Congrats! I bought my DK45S a little over a year ago and have nothing but good things to say about it. I hope your experience will be as enjoyable as mine has been. The manual is sort of hard to understand at some points, they definately need to do a better job at translating it to english.
