My original Kubota tractor battery is nearly 10 years and working fine. I'm not sure what to replace it with - haven't looked into it since I don't want to jinx it.

up here in Manitoba minus 35 to 40 is not unusual, 7 years is about tops. Cold has a way of shortening life. I have noticed ac delco batteries seem to last very well.

Needed to replace my Kubota battery last fall. bought the tractor in '11 and napa said the Interstate battery was made in '09. Just out of warranty. I sold my '98 F250 in 2011 with the oringinal battery still in it.

My 2002 Ram 3500 batteries are original and still take a charge very well - and will start the truck in -28C/-20F weather.
My 1986 F250 batteries lasted 12 years for the first and second set each (Ford and then Sears). The current batteries are only 3 yrs old.
Tractor battery is original Chinese battery and seems to do well still (2007 Jinma).

13 years for a battery in a John Deere 5200 but less than a year in a JD x320 mower.
Boy that's the truth. My origial battery on my x300 lasted just over 1 yr and when I called the dealer, he said that I should be happy with one year as that is all that batteries last these days. And he wanted me to come buy the exact same replacement Battery. No thanks, went to Les Schwab and bought one for 1/2 the price and has lasted now 3 years and hopefully another year or two!

No way a battery should last 1 year. Good for you to go somewhere else rather than go back to that snake.

Kubota battery is 12 years old and still going strong. Wish I could buy another of the same brand again but no luck. Japanese supplier.

Depending how much winter use it gets in -35c our batteries tend to last 3-4 years regardless of brand
