and by the time I had that line off from behind an auxiliary hydraulic pump on the side of my Ford 3910 I had the hood and muffler off. Then to repair a dent in the front cowling under the radiator I figured I have the tractor this far apart, might as well paint it. Painting this tractor was going to be one of my projects for the year as it is 22 years old, faded, has a few dents, scratched... you know all those things older tractors have. I just put my new decal set on it yesterday so these pictures still have the old decals that I had taped off. I am going to paint the rims and wheels when I can devote a few days to the job as they are also quite chipped and paint overspray got on them. It isn't a show quality paint job but it looks good for a farm machine.

Yes the fenders are supposed to be white but I was lazy and didn't feel like changing paint colors in my paint gun, nor waiting till I had the chance to paint the rims and wheels white and taking them off again, and I had alot of blue paint left in the cup on the gun. Personally I like the blue fenders better, it's mine I paid for it, and, well, it's mine and it's paid FOR.

Anyone know if you can get an aftermarket decal set for a Ford 7209 loader? I was able to get the tractor decals aftermarket $100+ cheaper than the New Holland dealer, but I can't find loader decals.

Try taking a copy of what the decals look like to a local sign shop and see if they can make them cheaper.

I took a couple digital photos of the bonnet decals on a Kubota and emailed them along with dimensions to three sign makers.

Took the lowest quote and had them mailed - never had to leave home.

Considering the only country I really have a desire to visit is Australia I would take you up on that if I was planning a trip out there. If I go I would need a tour guide, we could work something out. Keep in mind I am not a painter, I absolutely hate to paint, however as much as I hate to paint I hate run down looking equipment even more. The tractor wasn't bad beforehand but it did need a cosmetic tune up.

A text book case of mission creep. :D At least you were able to quit before you had it in forty piles in the floor of the barn. Nice paint job, good looking tractor. Mark
