The temp here will be 108 F tomorrow. If I use my tractor I can't
have the system on high as it gets too cold and then when I get
out of the cab its like being in a sauna
was thinking of getting something like this and put it in the freezer
to keep cool trying to work outside in the heat! Plus you always can
get a drink anytime its on your back

willy was probably talking about Camelback hydration type systems. Camelback is a brand. We use our for biking and the reservoir has a large opening which allows ice cubes to be added. Have not tried to freeze the reservoir, might not thaw quick enough. Done that with plain old water bottles. Jon

Been using Camelback hydration backpacks since the 1990's, and they're great for mountain biking. Great way to carry your water, tools, spare tube, wallet, and everything else you need without adding weight to the bike. They start to leak after 10 years, which to be honest, you don't mind much on a hot day.

If worn high enough, or using one of the slimmer packs without tool pouches, they might work well enough on a tractor. But my tractor has a cup holder and a tray on top of the ballast box, which is almost always attached to the machine. So, I set a thermos cup in the cup holder and a larger thermos on the ballast box... no Camelback needed.
