Issues with picture posting

I thought a little feedback on the issues with picture posting on the site would be in order. I have never been able to insert a picture directly into a thread. I have not had the time to work through what is keeping me from doing this until this morning. If I use the add attachments to up load the correctly sized picture and then take the URL of that picture from TBN's server and attempt to insert the picture it will not work. If I however take a URL for a picture from another site it works fine. There is also no detailed information on posting pictures in the FAQ. I hate attachments so I will look for a alternative host.

Photo is named plow01.jpg in all cases
size 12.685kb
576x432 pixels

Post results using up loaded attachment

While I'm whining here is another issue. In the photos area there is a hyperlink for "Read the FAQ & Instructions," Which is broken or FAQ is not available?

I'm sure I'm missing the obvious here but I don't think that's it. If you right click any of my posting efforts and look at properites you will see the complete URL and they are all the same except for the one I uploaded to my person business site. (which is the one that works).

Heck if I know. All I know is your photo from TBN works for me.

Are you posting it as Insert Link or Insert Image?

You can upload the photo(s) to your gallery. Then you open the image needed in the gallery, get the "properties" of the image (right click on the image and copy the url), then in the message you are posting paste the image url between {img} {/img} tags, replace { with [, and } with ]

I really don't know how to explain what is happening here as I pretty sure that is exactly what I did in the first post? It didn't work then but it does now? I will give it a try on the next picture I try to up load. If it can't get it to work then I done messing with posting pictures. I see other posts here where it is obvious the poster used the attachment option to up load a photo and then used the url of that attachment to insert the picture. Even that is clunker than it shoud be. I use to have a a PHP forum in our business site and I installed the software and maintained it and I can say that our customers up loaded a lot of images with ease using a WSIWYG format and as best I can see this Vbulletin is a pain.

I have been trying for over an hour to get an image I have in the photo's section into a message.... no joy... this software is a pain. I would be nice if there were some instructions on how to use this software.

I strongly agree. I have been able to get pictures installed in my gallery to show up in the body of the message but I have yet to get an attachment to show up in the body.

I downloaded the inline image in your post and made it an inline image from an attachment.

After you upload the attachment, right click on the name in the small upload window, select Properties and Copy the entire URL, paste this between image tags.
