New to the forum and fairly new to tractors. I will appreciate any advise given. I have 80 hours on my CK20S. Recently, when I park the tractor for the day with the bucket edge flat on the floor, the next morning the bucket has rolled with the bucket lip pointing up. I have also been noticing a little "give" or play when I lower the bucket to the ground. I have not, however, experienced the bucket lower, while loaded and running. When I parked today, I left the bucket off the floor about 3 inches and looked at it 30 mins later and it was on the floor. Have I got and issue or is this normal. If not normal, what valve might be failing?

Thanks
Jbudik

Does anyone have any opinions on this? Please advise... Thanks!

I don't see this as an issue;all hydraulics "leak down" over time, just a question of how quickly. Some are faster than others but that doesn't mean the quicker ones are faulty and the "play" you're noticing is just that; a little wear on your pins

Just as a matter of habit, I release all of the pressure on the FEL/Grapple and 3pt as soon as I shut down for any length of time. Since I park on concrete, I put a couple of boards down to keep from screwing up the floor then let it settle slowly. I think it takes away potential strain on the hydraulics and the boards tend to make whatever is attached sit level.

Same here and I also retract all FEL curl cylinders to expose the minimum shiny shaft.

I also leave mine always down when I am not using it on my ck20, but leaking down 3" in 30 minutes seems like quite a bit to me. I have never timed how long mine takes to leak down, but when I butcher pigs I hold them up with my bucket ,engine off, for about 30 minutes while I wash them down and then skin them. I have done 250 to 300 lb pigs and never noticed my bucket leaking down at all.
I have also used it to hold up one end of a scaffold pick board (gasp, I know) and never noticed it leaking down then either.
Mine has ~700 hours on it.

I agree with Patches based on what you said/posted.

I don't have that problem with my 30, however whenever I park it, after I turn the tractor off, I wriggle the joystick through each of the 4 positions to relieve any pressure in the system.

Are you still under warranty if you only have 80 hrs? I'd be talking to your dealer for sure if you are. I've never seen my bucket roll back after sitting and 30 minutes is far to fast to drop. I've left my bucket in the air with a load of firewood a foot above my deck and come back a few hours later to move it without noticing any real drop. If I forget to latch my bh, it will only sage a few inches over several days
