I am in the process of rebuilding my 2160 and tonight have come up with a small battle with the lower spline to the front diff, is there an easy way to get this back in place, I have wrestled with both halfs of the tractor for a while tonight but had to go and leave it so I thought this would give me time to ask on here how others have managed, its quite tight for room, the flexi joint/coupling is still attached to the diff and I am trying to line up the splines while holding the cover tube while pulling the 2 halfs together, some assistance would be a huge help so I will maybe wait until I get soemone lined up. I have the clutch splines lined up and backed the 2 halfs seperate again to help, well its the only way the spline will go in.

Well it seems that if the lower coupling is slid off a bit it allows the splines to be installed easier.
