I have been in the market for a tiller. I have seen some Iseki tillers listed in the paper and was wondering if anyone else has used them. Do they hold up well? My use is just for on my property. Probably alot of use this spring as I try to get grass started in serveral areas where the dozers did their damage and also for a small garden. After that the tiller would not be used that much except maybe for the garden. So it is hard to shell out 1300-1500 dollars for a new one which seems to be the going price. The Iseki's I have seen sell for about 450.
I know this is grey market. Is there some place in the US where I can get parts if I break a tine or need some other part. No point in buying if I can not find parts for it.

Brantley, I know nothing about Iseki tillers but I have an Iseki tractor (Bolens G214) and it's a class act. Current Massey Ferguson 12xx series are Isekis.

If you don't like the over $1000 range, how about a good used "Troybuilt". Built like a tank and parts & manuals available.
Iseki has a joint effort with Massey Ferguson, Landini, and others for compact & utility tractors. I've never seen any Iseki tillers on the east coast.

Here's some info on Iseki Tillers :
