Is this Working or Playing ? I can\'t tell

My boomer is now 1 week old and I have put about 8 hours on it. So far I love it. I could almost kiss the guy who invented the hydrostatic transmission. Attached a some pictures of Saterdays work / play project filling potholes and fixing washouts in the development that I do a lot of work for.
I am happy to say that my boomer has already earned it's first months payment in the first week of ownership. Can't get a whole lot better then that. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I didn't take any pictures of the washout repairs. I didn't even think of it. They were fairly minor anyway.

72" mouthfull of gravel. I am amazed and extremely pleased with the differance of power in the boomer over my old JD. In both horse power and hydraulic power. My JD would never had been able to dig into semi frozen gravel and walk away with a bucket full like this.

Correction.
I just came in from moving the tractor and the hour meter shows 14.2 hours. It arrived with 3 on it, so that means I have put just over 11 hours on it. Not 8

You need a boxblade or rear blade to shape and ditch that road. Seems I'm always working on mine.

The roads cover approx. 3+ miles and we have the road graded 2 / 3 times a years as necessary and we bring in a local man with a old beautufully restored Huber grader to do it. I don't have the knowledge or equipment to do it and do it Right.
I have learned over the years to know my limits and not be bashful about bringing in those people that can do it, do it better, do it right, and do it in a timely fashion.
It can usually be much more cost effective and I come out looking much better to my clients.

I keep trying to get away from that green handled thing, but it continues to find me. I must say that doing things this way sure beats having to shovel ( UGH !! that word ) the gravel into the back of my truck, just to shovel ( UGH !! that word again ) back out a hundred yards up the road

Well I just came back from having to work on road washouts again. Even with a canopy, road travel in the rain, is not alot of fun. But seat time is. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Paid seat time is even better. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I like taking pictures, and I like looking at my own pictures, but that doesn't mean everybody else does. So if I am getting carried away, don't be afraid to speak up. I've got big shoulders, I can take it.
