I have a Dx55. Would a HD210R5 woods rotary cutter be to big for it. I know where there are 2 of them, both needing work seals and welding. One for 2000 and the other for 3500. What do TBN people think?

I don't know that model offhand. How wide and heavy is it? Also, how hilly or flat is the area you plan to mow?

I don't know the woods model #, but I'm pulling a john deere mx10 pull-type (10' wide) with a JD 4520, 45 PTO hp (similiar to the DX55) and it does just fine. I mow 10 acres of pasture with it. Everyone here on the farm thought I was crazy going 10' wide, but the tractor runs it just fine. Bogs a little if the grass is over 2' tall.

Is that one of those offset 2-section 10-foot flex-wing mowers? I guess the main factor would be what you're going to use it for. Your hp requirements would be vastly different if you're using it for thick heavy brush versus pasture mowing.

Thanks for the replies. I cut aliitle bit of everything. It is a 10' offset that folds. I'd call it a medium duty machine. I have a MX7 that I do the heavy work with. I want to use it on lots and pastures that are mostly grass and thistles, also on the last time thru cutting the road ditches. One has a leaking seal and the other is beat up real bad. Both have cracks that will need welding.
