The dealer where I bought my JD 4310 CUT has a 4x2 Gator on the lot with:
- 45 HRS
- hydraulic dump bed
- front bumper
- bed liner
- floor mat

He said he's got it listed for $6500, but he would sell it 'to me' for $6000.

By my estimations it should retail new for about $7700 ($6500 plus about $1200 in accessories)

He says at that price he's just getting what he's got in it so I'm not sure how much more I can get him down. I might try to get him to throw some parts or service in for my tractor.

Should I jump on this or is it run of the mill? A Gator sure would be handy...

Looks good to me, and is equipped the same as the 4x2 Gator I have. I like mine, and am very impressed with the way it has kept running for the last 4 years. Much better performer than I expected it to be. It's a worker, and very dependable.

That's a fairly decent price I suppose. What year is it?

I just purchased the new Gator TX. It is the new traditional series model two-wheel drive with full suspension, diff. lock, and hydraulic brakes and a 13hp engine, rather than the 10hp powering the 4X2. It also has a slightly larger bed. The starting price on it was $6999, but the full suspension was worth it. I then added on the power dump, brush guard, bedliner and fender protectors because the dealership cut me a great deal on accessories (recently purchased a 4110 with all the goodies!)

For the one you have listed in your post:
Since it has the power dump and some accessories, I suppose it is not a bad price, but it is only a few dollars more for a new one with a full warranty, more horsepower, 4-wheel hydraulic brakes, bigger bed and suspension. Something to think about!

I'm pretty sure its an '04 model.

I didn't ask him about warranty etc. I'm assuming he would be selling it to me as though it were new-and include things like the warranty. If I go any further on this I will make sure I have all the facts.

I think it's a little high on the price. I have a 6x4 gator that that is an 04 with dump and all that I would sell you for that price.

That sounds great cowboydoc, I don't suppose you'll be traveling in northern Vermont with it any time soon?

Sorry but I won't be that way. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Around here you can get the 4x2's for less than $5k about anywhere.

I'd say high, you can get a brand new Cub Cadet big country for that much with the same options. $4500-5000 tops.
