Dealer quoted me $ 16,700 for B7800 HSD-F, LA402 Loader, Land Pride RCR 1860 5ft cutter and Land Pride BB1560 box blade. Other option is L2800 HST-F with LA463 loader and same cutter & box blade for $ 16,296. Don't need Mid PTO so that lacking on L2800 is not an issue. I will be using that tractor mostly for cutting about 4-5 acres open rolling pasture, some FEL work moving dirt & gravel, box blade work maintaining a rock drive and rock parking area and leveling out small area in back of property and just general work & play. This will replace Dad's old F1210 with 4ft finish mower. What do you think? Would appreciate input from more "seasoned" users on this forum. Thanks.

$16700 for the B7800 is a deal with the two implements but I would buy the L2800 for even less $ if you don't need the B7800's mid PTO.

The L2800 is a bit smaller but much heavier then the B7800 and the FEL has more capacity. There were problems with the L2800 rear 3PT hitch valve but apparently they have been addressed.

Thanks, Northland. That is the way I am leaning now. The dealer who gave me that quote did not seem too interested in my Ford 1120,ect for trade allowance. He would rather that I sell it myself or he would put it on his lot & "try" to sell it for me. Rough guess he would give me about 65% of "retail" which I am guessing would be $2000 or so. I have never tried to sell used equipment before, rather do a trade in if I can do about as well on the bottom line. I am going to check out another local dealer who also handled NH where Dad originally bought the Ford many years ago and see what kind of deal I can get from him.

Is the L2800 a hydro also, or is it a gear model? The gear model doesn't have live PTO, and that might, or might not be an issue for your mowing.

Hey guys the choices are getting hard. Here is where I am at & I need to make a decision very soon. Please give me your input. Here is what I am down to:

Mahindra 2815HST with ML111 loader 5 Ft Buhler finish mower and 5ft box blade

Dealer #1 $ 16,975 less trade in net cash $ 14,175
Dealer #2 $ 15,850 less trade in net cash $ 14,400

Kubota L2800HST with LA 463 loader Land Pride 5ft finish mower and 5ft box blade

Dealer #3 $ 16,908 less trade in net cash $ 14,200
Dealer #4 $ 18,322 less trade in net cash $ 15,522

Kioti CK30HST with KL130 Loader, Kioti 5 Ft finish mower and 5ft box blade

Dealer #5 $ 16,439 less trade in net cash ??

I have driven all of the tractors & any can handle the work I need now and (I believe) down the road as best I can see. All felt solid, handled well, ran smooth, loader controls felt good. I felt comfortable in the seat, good leg room, ect.

Dealer # 1 is about 50 miles away. Large dealership, very knowledgeable and I have a å*µood comfort level with him

Dealer # 2 is local-only 5 miles away and is very eager for my business. He did not have a 2815 in stock and would incur substantial freight charges to get one from another dealer. He is willing to split the freight cost to make the deal. If we can not agree on the price, he is still very comfortable in servicing it-no hard feelings if I don稚 buy there. If I decide on the 2815 would go with this dealer. The small cash difference is not material. Delivery would be delayed a few weeks-not a deal breaker.

Dealer # 3 is also local (about 15 miles away). He has been in business for many years with a good reputation.

Dealer #4 (about 40 miles away) also has a good reputation, but higher on his price.

The Kioti dealer is a young man who has only been in business as a dealer for a few years, but seems very knowledgeable and is steadily building his business. He stated that his mechanics have attended national training classes for Kioti and have had years of experience at other local dealerships before joining him. I checked the man out with a good neighbor of mine who has known him for many years & speaks highly of him. He is coming out tonight to look at my trade in and give me a firm net cash price. If his price is in the ball park, it will be a tough decision.

PS I made a mistake on my earlier thread on the Kioti forum for the CK25 & the CK30. Those prices were for the tractor & loader only, not the attachments. Dealer said he understated the pricing in the above quote, but he would stick to it since that is what he gave me.

PPS Just got final cash price net of trade in from the Kioti dealer- $ 14,200.

Decision Time !!

I'd buy the Kubota at the best price because in my experience Kubota's:

1) hold their value the best
2) never have any problems so you don't have to go back to the dealer
3) whichever tractor you choose will do the job for you

Buy whatever one you feel best about and you will be happy :)

That's a tough one. I made the same choices and bought the L2800 Kubota, My Kubota dealer is less than a mile from my house and are fine people. The Kioti dealer was a long way away. I would in your case boil it down to dealer # 3 and dealer # 5. (great prices by the way) Look at the tractors again, sit on them, drive them, and try to imagine what you will want to do in the future with each. One thing for sure, you won't make a mistake with either choice. I believe, (my opinion based on experience, reading this and other similar forums and talking to many people) that kubota is likely to provide the best long term reliability of them all, but a CK30 is a lot of tractor for the money. I couldn't be more satisfied with my Kubota, but can't say I would'nt have bought the kioti if it were local. All the best to you with this decision, it's a little like picking an ice cream flavor. they're all good.
