Is this a good deal trading a 2210 in on a 2305

I hope I do not step on any toes here, but a 2305 with a backhoe seems a little like a toy. I hear they do well, but I cannot imagine they do that well as small as they are with the hydraulic flow they have. Am I missing something? My local dealer says the 2520 is about the smallest machine he recommends to use a backhoe with extensively, except in cases of very limited or easy usage. He says they do a great job. I think Chris has had good luck with his so far.

Though the 2305 hydraulics have nowhere the speed of the 2320 and even more so the 2520 with the FEL, you'd be surprised how responsive they are with the BH. I would say your dealer is right about extensive work suggesting a 2520 or up (a 110 TLB would be nice ), but the 260 BH is in no way a toy.

Man, you are right about that!!!! They do beat the pick and shovel. I am in no way saying I would not be happy owning one, but for heavier work, it might be better to get a larger machine (if, of course that is a primary use for the machine).

I will have to say this bh would not be used everyday for a large amount of work
Just a few odd jobs and then digging a few water lines to some homes here in the neighbor and then very very little .
Yes I had already figured there is no way this work be able to work everyday and dig very large amount of dirt quickly
Yea a ditch for a drain now and then a tree stump
Not planning on using to make a lot of money
But again thanks for the concerns and different comments

If you wind up going to a 2305, don't forget the attaching parts for the mower and for the front hitch if you have the 200X or 200CX loader. If you have the 210 loader on your 2210, an additional front attaching support kit will be required for the 2305 since the hood guard for the newer loaders does not include the attaching hooks like the one for the older loader does.

After reading your last message about the 200x or 200cx loader a light went off and I remembered I had not checked which loader it had on the tractor.
It has the 200x then I called the dealer that sold the tractor in the first place and he advised me to hold off for right now Money matters !!!!!!!!
I told him no problem and thanks for letting me know about matter
So for now Trade is on hold!!!!!!!!!! may not do it at all since it does not have the cx fel Never had one so not sure how hard it would be to put on and take off

I believe the difference in the 200x and 200cx models are the QA parts for the fel arms. From what I understand, the 200x can be easily converted to a 200cx. Others can give you mode details, but its something to look into...

Good luck in your decision and wanted to share some additional points. Assuming the 2305 has a newer design hood guard then you will need to purchase $44 accepting brackets to make the front hitch work, because your front bumper on the 210 has them built in at the bottom to accept the quick hitch, deere cut that part out and decided we need to pay more for those brackets as opposed to being part of the front bumper (had me steaming!). As for a backhoe, I agree with someone above, contact a different dealer and see what he/she will let one go for on a pallet, we sell them $4-4.5

Would really like to find out if all that is needed would be the arms to chg out the loader on the used 2305
MY dealer had told me about 6300-6500 for just the hoe to fit on my 2210
That is why I was thinking about the used 2305.
That would give me a 2yr newer tractor and 200 less hrs.

We converted a 200X to 200CX and the price if memory serves me right was around $175. PM me on the side if you need more information on the part to convert.
