Is this a good buy?

I am looking at a 2012 Mahindra 35 hp 2 wheel drive with a woods finishing mower, bush hog, frond load bucket, and box blade with 290 hours. It also comes with a 16 ft. tube trailer with 2 10000 lb axels. The asking price is $12,500. I keep looking online and cannot determine if this is good or not. It seems good to me but I would like an expert's opinion. This will be my first tractor if I decide to buy it.

That's an awesome deal. Actually, almost too good to be true. But if everything is legit, you'd be crazy not to buy it, if that's what you're looking for.

The guy selling it is rich and bought it for his son (who never uses is) so he is just wanting to get rid of it quick. He is a friend of a friend, so I am pretty sure there is nothing fishy. This was his offer to me. He also said if I only wanted the trailer I could have it for $1000.00

Are you sure that's two 10,000 lb axles, or two 5200 lb axles bringing the GVWR up to 10000 (10,400 actually)? It's not often that you see twin 10,000 axles, especially on 16'.

$1000 is a STEAL for that trailer, with either axle combo!

Id say he regrets the 2wd and is having trouble selling it to anyone.

I agree about the 4 wheel drive but I don't know if I can pass this deal up if it's as good as everyone says it is. Is it possible to convert the tractor into 4wd? Also even if the trailer is not 2 10k axles, it's still a steal for 1000 so I'm not too worried about the trailer. I am going to get the trailer regardless.

No, it's not possible to convert the tractor to 4wd.

Not saying 2wd is useless. However, if you plan on doing any kind of work on hills, you might be less than pleased.
